The British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA) has been confirmed as the exclusive Industry Partner for the Education Forum, which takes place on November 20th & 21st at the Whittlebury Hall Hotel.
BESA is the trade body covering the entire UK educational suppliers sector. It operates on a not-for-profit basis, and is accountable to an Executive Council that is elected by member companies.
It has an 80-year heritage serving the UK education sector, and represents over 300 educational suppliers in the UK, including manufacturers and distributors of equipment, materials, books, consumables, furniture, technology, ICT hardware and EdTech to the education market.
Combined, BESA’s members constitute around 80% of the market in terms of the amount spent by UK schools on products and services.
As part of the partnership, BESA members will be able to secure a 10 per cent discount on Gold packages at the Education Forum by quoting BESAEF10.
Patrick Hayes, Director of BESA: “We are delighted to be partnering with the Education Forum for its 2017 event. In the current climate of school funding cuts and increased teacher workload, the Education Forum brings invaluable opportunities to education companies to meet with school leaders and headteachers in an informal, one-to-one basis – and that can make all the difference.”
The Education Forum is organised specifically for those directly responsible for the purchasing of facilities and technology for education institutions.
Delegates are given a carefully planned itinerary that ensures their time spent at the event is worthwhile – they meet, share and connect with suppliers relevant to their current and forthcoming needs in matchmade meetings.
And there are copious learning opportunities available via the seminar programme, which this year is specifically addressing managing finance and funding under budgetary pressures.
This is an issue close to BESA’s heart – its own figures show that while UK schools were expecting to reduce their resources expenditure in 2017, the reality will be worse than any time in the past five years.
As a result, BESA has initiated the Resource Our Schools campaign, with the aim of giving every school access to the resources they need to deliver the education that pupils deserve.
If you’re a headteacher, head of ICT, head of digital learning, head of curriculum, head of IT or a bursar within primary, secondary, independent, higher or university education, then the companies, contacts and technology you need to take your institution to the next level can be found at the Education Forum.
Alternatively, if you’re an education supplier and would like to present your solutions as part of the Education Forum, contact Haydn Boxall on 01992 374 084 / email@example.com – if you’re a BESA member, simply quote BESAEF10 to secure a 10% Gold package discount.
