Schools across the Southwest and beyond are invited to attend an in-person EAL conference in Plymouth on 30th April, hosted by FlashAcademy®. Improving outcomes for EAL learners is designed for senior leaders, EAL coordinators and classroom practitioners. The event will focus on improving outcomes for multilingual learners through practical, interactive CPD that can be taken away and implemented by schools and trusts.

The Plymouth conference forms part of a new series of FlashAcademy®-owned events, bringing educators together in a focused, high-value setting. Lukasz Mlodziniak, EAL Coordinator at Lipson Cooperative Academy, will present strategies grounded in classroom practice. Kelly Dicks, Headteacher at Filton Hill Primary School and EAL Lead for Olympus Academy Trust, will discuss whole-school approaches that have supported new arrivals.
A panel discussion will explore the implications of the new Ofsted inclusion framework for EAL learners and how schools can evidence strong provision. Attendees will also benefit from a practical resource session, leaving with clear, actionable ideas to take back to their settings.
