Schools across the Southwest and beyond are invited to attend an in-person EAL conference in Plymouth on 30th April, hosted by FlashAcademy®. Improving outcomes for EAL learners is designed for senior leaders, EAL coordinators and classroom practitioners. The event will focus on improving outcomes for multilingual learners through practical, interactive CPD that can be taken away and implemented by schools and trusts.
Places are limited and allocated via registration. Schools can register for the event here.
Practical strategies to strengthen EAL outcomes
The Plymouth conference forms part of a new series of FlashAcademy®-owned events, bringing educators together in a focused, high-value setting. The programme is designed to support open discussion and real-world application, with content relevant to both current FlashAcademy® users and all schools and trusts looking to develop their EAL provision.
The conference enables educators to exchange ideas, explore challenges and learn from each other’s experience.
Delegates will come away with:
- Practical, classroom-ready strategies to support EAL learners.
- Insights into how data and technology can inform effective provision.
- Approaches to improving learner wellbeing in multilingual settings.
- Opportunities to connect with peers and share effective practice.
Expertise from leadership strategy to the classroom
The conference will feature contributions from experienced practitioners and school leaders. Emily Hunt, Head of Customer Success at FlashAcademy®, will open the event, sharing insights from her work supporting schools nationwide.
Lukasz Mlodziniak, EAL Coordinator at Lipson Cooperative Academy, will present strategies grounded in classroom practice. Kelly Dicks, Headteacher at Filton Hill Primary School and EAL Lead for Olympus Academy Trust, will discuss whole-school approaches that have supported new arrivals.
A panel discussion will explore the implications of the new Ofsted inclusion framework for EAL learners and how schools can evidence strong provision. Attendees will also benefit from a practical resource session, leaving with clear, actionable ideas to take back to their settings.
A high-value CPD opportunity for schools
FlashAcademy® continues to create free opportunities for educators to come together, share insights and focus on pushing for strong provision and outcomes for multilingual learners.
With a carefully curated group of delegates and a strong emphasis on quality discussion, Improving outcomes for EAL learners offers schools a valuable opportunity to refine their approach to multilingual classrooms.
